Wise Words - The way forward....
"We may know where the journey begins but we don't know when or where it will end..."
For just over a year we've been living in a state of crisis due to the Covid situation. I don't need to go into the details because we've all been experiencing it. However many have been experiencing stress, anxiety, or just generally feeling out of sorts over this period. To say it's been a challenging and transformational time would be an understatement and yet still true.
For me managing my mental wellbeing has been a constant with the loss of my father last December being the most challenging time for me and deeply transformational in many ways, that I still haven't found the words to describe it yet. What has emerged is the importance of connecting and supporting each other through these challenging times. Having the support of my family and friends helped in many ways and also being in service for others took my focus off my own struggles and yet helped give perspective in dealing with them too.
The key thing to recognise is that as human beings living life under these circumstances for a prolonged periods definitely takes its toll.
OK, so where do we go from here?
This is the question that keeps popping up for me; the old is gone and the new doesn't feel normal and I'm not totally sure what I want my new reality to look like. It's hard to figure out what type of world we are emerging into, so to know how things are going to play out for us as individuals is even harder; so what can we do? what resources do we need to navigate this time?
For me it feels like time for a reset, to rebalance, refocus and start envisioning what reality we want to create and how we can start to prepare for it.
For me I know that connecting and offering my service and being of service are important for me right now and would like to know what I can do to support you?
Later this month I will being running a Zoom session to help to support you with your reset and also to find out what the community wants and needs.
Let me know if you're interested by sending me a message at earl@creativemuscle.co.uk saying "I'm in".
Be Well and stay safe.
